ABOUT ME

I remember my own thoughts and feelings surrounding taking the step to finding a counsellor.  I wanted to feel a connection and to fully trust my therapist.  I continued to grow whilst attending counselling through my training.   I still cherish those initial sessions and would wish counselling could be available to all who would like to attend.

I am passionate about my job, and enjoy attending Continuous Personal Development training.  I feel so  privileged to work with clients as they take the courageous steps in their counselling process.

I am a sensitive and perceptive person, and use an appropriate balance between empathic support and challenge, depending on the needs of the person I am working with.  I enjoy connecting with, and supporting my clients in their own process of healing and change.   I count being able to help facilitate and witness this process as one of the major blessings of my life.

I understand first-hand many of the challenges of family and single life.  I enjoy living in the county of East Sussex, regularly walking family dogs and spending quality time with family and friends.

I work in an Integrative way, using the Humanistic therapies - Person Centred, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt - and Emotional Freedom Techniques available to me.  I  regard you as the expert of yourself.  I would be privileged to facilitate you on your journey of self-discovery.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my practice and the way I work.  If you have questions and would like to see if we can work together, please contact me for an initial chat and we can arrange a consultation. I look forward to speaking to you soon.

Warm wishes

Melanie
